This recipe for white fish with a creamy mustard dressing is a good alternative if you are looking for taste without the heaviness. This is because it uses creme fraiche instead of cream. The mustard, a popular Dutch ingredient, gives the sauce a nice kick.

You can make this dish with a variety of white fish and it is delicious on a warm day with a glass of crisp white wine.

Healthy Apple and Prune Compote

This simple apple and prune compote, which is low in fat and high in fibre, takes just 20 minutes to make and is delicious with yoghurt. Try it for a quick breakfast or a healthy dessert.


The recipe is very versatile. If you have other fruits to use up, or want some variety, replace the apples and prunes with pears, apricots, raspberries and so on. It is also easy to double the amounts so you have enough compote for several days.
