Naked Babies in the Grass
Image of Dutch Naked Babies in the Grass Side DishThis is not your usual name for a side dish, especially one that's as simple as this. Naked babies in the grass, which is also known as naked or bare buttocks in the grass, is made from white and green beans. The white ones refer to the babies and the green ones to the grass, of course.

This dish is really easy to make and is a good accompaniment to almost any main course. Give it a go and the name will become clear. Eet smakelijk!

Dutch Apple Pie

Image of Dutch apple piePerhaps Holland’s most famous sweet export, Dutch apple pie is a favourite on Sunday afternoons, as a dessert or for special occasions. With a deep apple and raisin filling, a buttery base and crisscross pattern on the top, it tastes delicious and looks really impressive.

The good news is that it’s also easy to make. For something really indulgent, serve with whipped cream.
Eet smakelijk!
