Chicken with Mustard and Thyme Sauce

Image of Dutch Chicken with Mustard and Thyme SauceThere's a popular advert in Holland that says that chicken is the most versatile of meats. And although I'm also very happy eating meat free, I'd have to agree. This recipe for chicken with mustard and thyme sauce is proof that chicken can be combined with just about anything and still taste great.

Thyme is a herb that is more often associated with red meats, but gives this dish a delicate, unexpected flavour. The sharp mustard also complements the creamy creme fraiche really well. The whole thing is topped off with sliced green apples that provide colour and crunch. Despite the different ingredients, this recipe is really easy to make and can be whipped up during the week, or served to guests at the weekend. Eet smakelijk!
